17 ill in gastroenteritis outbreak

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed a gastroenteritis outbreak in a Tuen Mun elderly home, affecting 16 residents and a staff member. One was admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital. All are in stable condition.

 

The three men and 14 women, aged 56 to 94, came down with diarrhoea and vomiting between November 19 and 27.

 

The centre will closely monitor the situation and provide health advice.
