Nan Lian Garden to open November 15

Nan Lian Garden, a park designed in the Tang Dynasty-style and adorned with special wooden structures, old and valuable trees and rocks, will be open to the public on November 15.

The garden, located at 60 Fung Tak Road, Diamond Hill, with an area of 3.5 hectares, is a public park under the Leisure & Cultural Services Department. The Chi Lin Nunnery is entrusted with its management and maintenance. It will open daily from 7am to 9pm and admission is free.

Fresh interpretation: Nan Lian Garden in Diamond Hill is designed in the Tang Dynasty-style and adorned with special wooden structures, old and valuable trees and rocks.

The garden also provides a multi-function room and catering facilities such as a food kiosk and souvenir shop, a vegetarian restaurant and a tea house. Smoking will be banned in the garden since it contains many wooden structures and old and valuable trees. To keep the environment clean, visitors will be allowed to eat only within the catering facilities.

A one-way route will be arranged for safe and orderly visits. Crowd-management measures will be implemented when necessary. To avoid visitors queuing for a long time outside the garden on days when it is crowded, admission tickets will be distributed at the main entrance to the garden and at the Nan Lian Garden service kiosk at Diamond Hill MTR station Exit C2. Ticket-holders can enter the garden at the designated time.

All public or private organisations, including travel agencies, arranging group visits of more than 20 people each should make a prior appointment with the garden office by faxing 3658 9424 or emailing info@nlgarden.org at least three working days before the planned visit. More information about the admission arrangements are available here.
