Enterovirus-71 case confirmed
*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed another enterovirus-71 case involving an 18-month-old boy, bringing the year's total to 15.

He developed diarrhoea and a cough on October 25 and was admitted to the Sanatorium Hospital on the same day. He has recovered and was discharged November 1.

The boy has no recent travel history and family members have no symptoms. The centre is contacting the childcare centres he attends for medical surveillance.
