Leisure & Cultural Services Department

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department will provide heated swimming facilities in 15 public pools this winter.

Ten pools - Morrison Hill, Island East, Kowloon Park, Tai Kok Tsui, Ho Man Tin, Hammer Hill Road, Shing Mun Valley, Fanling, Sha Tin Jockey Club and Tseung Kwan O - will provide heating from tomorrow.

Due to annual maintenance work, the other five pools - Wan Chai, Lai Chi Kok, Sham Shui Po Park, Tuen Mun and Yuen Long Swimming Pools - will open on different dates. For details click here.

Apart from daily regular cleaning work, a special operation will continue at the pools every week to ensure hygiene.

Three pools without heating - Victoria Park, Kennedy Town and Kowloon Tsai - will remain open from 6.30am to noon until November 30.

For details of the opening arrangements and the schedule of the weekly cleaning operation, visit the department's website or call 2414 5555.

Meanwhile, the department's lifeguard services at five beaches in Southern District and 19 beaches in the New Territories will be suspended from November 1 to March 31. For details click here.
