Man ill with Dengue fever
*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a Dengue fever case involving a 32-year-old Lamma Island man, bringing the year's total cases to 26, all imported.

The patient came down with fever, headache and muscle pain on October 10 after traveling to Indonesia from October 1 to 8.

He was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital on October 15 in stable condition.

People should stay alert to the threat of Dengue fever and take measures against mosquito breeding. Travellers should wear long-sleeved tops and trousers, and use insect repellent. If feeling unwell after returning from abroad, consult a doctor.
