13 ill in Shau Kei Wan food poisoning

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed three food poisoning reports involving 13 people who fell ill after eating at a Shau Kei Wan restaurant.

 

In the first case, a woman and a man aged 54 and 87 came down with diarrhoea, abdominal pain, vomiting and fever after dinner in the restaurant on October 6. The man sought treatment from Pamela Youde Nethersole Hospital while the woman consulted a private doctor.

 

The second case involved a man and three woman aged 22 to 59. They developed similar symptoms after dinner in the restaurant on October 7. Three consulted private doctors and one sought treatment from the hospital.

 

On October 8, three men and four women aged 32 to 62, came down with symptoms after dinner in the restaurant. One consulted a private doctor while another was admitted to the hospital in stable condition.
