9 Prince of Wales hospital patients get flu

Two women Prince of Wales Hospital patients, aged 77 and 82, have come down with upper respiratory infection symptoms and fever. Nine people from their ward have tested positive for influenza A.

 

Since September 7, four patients and seven staff have been ill. They are being treated in isolation and are stable, while the staff members are on sick leave.

 

Four patients and five staff have tested positive for influenza A and are under observation.

 

The cases have been reported to the Centre for Health Protection.
