*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an Enterovirus-71 case involving a four-month-old boy, bringing this year's total to 12.

The baby, with no recent travel history, came down with fever and cough on August 25 and was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital the next day. His condition is stable and his parents have no symptoms.

There were eight Enterovirus-71 cases last year.

Click here or call the Central Health Education Hotline 2833 0111 for more details about enterovirus infection.
