The Centre for Health Protection is probing a Legionnaires' disease case, involving a 52-year-old Fanling man.
He came down with fever, chills, a cough and headache on July 6. He was sent to North District Hospital on July 12 and was discharged seven days later. He had no travel history within the incubation period and his home contacts have no symptoms.
There have been 11 Legionnaires' cases reported so far this year, including seven local, three imported and one pending classification. The figures for 2004 and last year were three and 11.
