The Stanley mobile stop will close July 29 as the new Stanley Public Library is now open.
Located in the Stanley Municipal Services Building, the 500-square-metre library has an initial stock of 42,000 items and 70 newspaper and periodical titles.
It has an adult lending library, children's library, newspapers and periodicals section and an extension activities room. Sixteen computer workstations, multimedia services and an Online Public Access Catalogue are also offered, along with a book-drop service and two self-service terminals.
The library is open 10am to 7pm Mondays to Wednesdays and on Fridays. It closes at 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays, 1pm on public holidays and closes all day Thursdays. For enquiries call 2923 5171.
