Four patients of a geriatric ward in Tung Wah Eastern Hospital have come down with gastroenteritis symptoms or fever since July 10.

The women, aged 71 to 88, are being treated in isolation and are in stable condition. Test results are pending.

Visits to the ward have been suspended and infection control measures stepped up. All patients are under close surveillance.
