More than 420 family fun events are scheduled until August 13, following the opening of the International Arts Carnival at Queen Elizabeth Stadium today.
The fun-filled Summer Fun Party, featuring games, clowns, magic shows, and a puppet theatre, is being held at the stadium today and tomorrow.

Launching this year's carnival is Heroes by the award-winning Wuhan Acrobatic Troupe. Combining traditional acrobatic feats with modern stage techniques, the performance is an unprecedented celebration of contemporary acrobatics.
Other performances lined-up include puppetry, music, dance, drama, clowns and films. Workshops, school tours, exhibitions, cultural tours, library and museum activities will also be organised. Click here for programme guides.
Tickets from $40 to $280 are available at URBTIX outlets. Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens, the disabled and social security recipients.

Prizes to winners of the International Arts Carnival Graphic Design Competition, which attracted 2,616 entries this year, were also presented today. The Best Cover Design award goes to primary four student Fung Ka-man who is also the winner of the primary school section, while form six student Wong Nga-lei is the winner of the secondary school section.
