Super scrambler repeats bun feat

*

Reigning Bun Scrambling Competition champion Kwok Ka-ming has retained his title by again winning the annual event on Cheung Chau.

Kwok beat 12 other men in climbing a 15-metre tower to snatch the most buns in three minutes, landing 705 points, beating first runner-up Lai Chi-wai by 24 points, and second runner-up Tsang Shun-man who scored 601 marks.

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department event was held at midnight at Pak Tai Temple Playground soccer pitch.

The Islands District Council, Islands District Sports Association, and six other local groups participated in the Invitation Relay, in which each team of two had to get designated buns on the tower within the shortest period.

The council won in 3 minutes 13 seconds to get their buns while the Petrel Athletic Association was the first runner-up and Cheung Chau Sai Wan Ma Sing Temple Management Association was next.

More than 1,500 spectators watched the events.
