Man ill with Dengue fever

*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed Dengue fever in a 65-year-old man, bringing the year's total cases to 10, all imported.

He came down with fever, fatigue and muscle pain on April 15. He travelled to Indonesia March 25 to April 23. He is in hospital in stable condition. His family members have no symptoms.

People should stay alert to the threat of Dengue fever and take measures against mosquito breeding. Travellers should wear long-sleeved tops and trousers, and use insect repellent. If feeling unwell after returning from abroad, consult a doctor.
