The Centre for Health Protection and the Hospital Authority are investigating two gastroenteritis outbreaks involving seven patients at two hospitals.
Two female and two male patients, aged seven months to 80 years old, of an infirmary ward in the Kowloon Hospital Rehabilitation Building, came down with vomiting and diarrhoea yesterday. They are in stable condition.
Three patients, aged 51 to 61, in a women's psychiatric ward at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital have had diarrhoea since April 20. They have been isolated and are stable.
Infection control measures at the two hospitals have already been enhanced. There will be no admission to and discharge from the ward for now.
