Disciplinary hearing set for morgue staff
*
Department of Health

A disciplinary hearing against the two staff involved in the Fu Shan Public Mortuary mix-up will be conducted after a Police investigation, the Department of Health says.

The two staff are on leave and will be redeployed to other duties outside mortuaries upon their return.

A copy of the Independent Committee's report has been referred to Police for consideration if criminal investigation is warranted.

Under the Public Service (Administration) Order, an officer interdicted for the purpose of disciplinary proceedings receives full pay. An officer on interdiction would receive half pay if they were charged for a misconduct which may lead to his removal from office or if a criminal proceeding was instituted against them.
