Lam Woon-kwong has been appointed chief executive officer of the company implementing the organisational work of the 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Equestrian Events in Hong Kong.
The company, Equestrian Events (Hong Kong) of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, offered Mr Lam the appointment after open recruitment. He will serve in the post from March 8 through to the end of the events.
Secretary for Home Affairs Dr Patrick Ho, chairman of the company's board of directors, said Mr Lam was the most suitable person to organise the massive venture. His rich experience in public administration and exposure to sports policies will turn the events into a wonderful spectacle, Mr Ho said.
