Preliminary testing of a magpie found dead in Sham Shui Po has indicated a suspected case of avian influenza, the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department says. Further tests are being conducted.

The carcass was collected on Dianthus Road yesterday.

People are reminded to observe good personal hygiene. They should avoid personal contact with wild birds and live poultry and clean their hands thoroughly after coming into contact with them.
