Revised social security rates to take effect
*
Social Welfare Department

Social security recipients will get revised payments from February 1, the Social Welfare Department says.

Recipients of the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Scheme and Disability Allowance under the Social Security Allowance Scheme will have their standard payments increased 0.4% to take account of inflation. The payment rates under the Old Age Allowance will remain unchanged.

For enquiries, people may contact the relevant social security field units or call the department's hotline, 2343 2255.
