*
HPC logo (Eng version)

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an imported case of Dengue fever, bringing the year's total to 31.

The 49-year-old Sha Tin woman developed fever, muscle and joint pain on November 21. She has recovered and been discharged from Prince of Wales Hospital.

She travelled to Thailand between November 5 and 22. Her home contacts have no symptoms.

The centre urges people to guard against the disease and prevent mosquito breeding.

The latest information on Dengue fever in other places can be found under Outbreak News on the Travellers' Health Service website.
