Hospital Authority

Six Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital Accident & Emergency Department nursing and support staff have come down with fever or respiratory symptoms. Three have tested negative for flu.

The man and five women reported fever or respiratory symptoms on November 29 and 30. Three have recovered and returned to duty while the others remain on sick leave.

The department maintains its normal service and cleansing has been reinforced. All staff have been asked to strictly adhere to infection control measures.

The cases have been reported to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection for follow up.
