Temperature screening
Re-check: Temperature screening at Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau boundary crossings will be re-activated.
*

Temperature screening at Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau boundary crossings will be re-activated from November 18, with the confirmation of three human cases of avian flu in Hunan and Anhui.

Assistant Director of Health Dr Cindy Lai said 11 infra-red thermo-imaging machines have been installed.

Auxiliary Medical Service officers will screen travellers, and those with a high body temperature will be checked for fever. Those with a fever will be further assessed for symptoms of influenza and, if required, will be referred to hospitals.

Temperature screening will also be implemented at Man Kam To, Sha Tau Kok, Hung Hom Train Station, China Ferry Terminal and Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal later.
