Man critical with Legionnaires' disease
*
Centre for Health Protection

An 85-year-old man is fighting for his life with Legionnaires' disease, the year's tenth case, the Centre for Health Protection says.

The Hung Hom man came down with fever and dizziness on October 24. He was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital three days later and is now in critical condition. The case is local as he has no recent travel history. His family members have no symptoms.

Of the ten cases, four are local and one imported, with the rest pending classification. Three were reported last year.
