Nine students of an Aberdeen secondary school have developed vomiting, diarrhoea, nausea, and abdominal pain within 30 minutes to one hour after eating meals provided by a supplier during lunchtime, the Centre for Health Protection says.

The students, five boys and four girls aged from 11 to 14, sought medical treatment from the Accident and Emergency Department of Queen Mary Hospital. None of them required hospitalisation.

The centre's initial investigations suggested the case may be an outbreak of bacteria food poisoning.
