One more boy has come down with fever in the Caritas Medical Centre's Developmental Disabilities Unit. He was transferred to the isolation ward for further management and tested positive for rhinovirus. His condition is stable.
There are six boys and one girl, aged four to 15, with fever who are residents of the unit. Six have rhinovirus, a common cold, while one has para-influenza.
Infection control measures have been stepped up and other child residents are under close surveillance. Visiting arrangements remain normal.
