The Director of Food & Environmental Hygiene has closed a restaurant in Tsuen Wan for 14 days after the licensee repeatedly violated the Food Business Regulation.
The restaurant, on the ground floor of 17 Tsuen Wan Market Street and the back of the ground floor of 14 Chuen Lung Street, will not open from today through October 3.
In May and June, the licensee was twice convicted for failing to store open food properly. She was fined $5,300 and had 15 demerit points registered against her. That contravention resulted in the 14-day business suspension.
The licensee was convicted twice for the same offence in February and March this year, and was then fined $5,700 and given 15 demerit points. That forced her to close the restaurant for seven days, from June 13 through 19.
The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department reminds food premises licensees to comply strictly with regulations to avoid having their licences suspended or cancelled.
