Legionnaires' case reported

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed a case of Legionnaires' Disease involving a 60-year-old man, bringing the year's total cases to eight.

 

The Quarry Bay man came down with fever on August 16 and was admitted to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital on August 18. He was discharged September 5.

 

The patient had travelled to the Mainland from August 12 to August 15. His home contacts have no symptoms.
