Poultry rest day set for Sept 10
*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The next poultry outlet rest day is September 10. The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department says operators of market stalls and fresh provision shops must slaughter all live poultry remaining on the premises before noon, and then suspend business to conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection.

The department reminds stall owners and licensees they must not remove any unsold live poultry from the premises to avoid slaughtering before the start of the rest day.
