Red Cross to manage bone marrow registry
*

The Marrow Match Foundation will transfer the management of its donor registry to the Red Cross from tomorrow.

The foundation was established in 1991 to provide donor services, with a long-term goal of transferring it back to health authorities or suitable parties later.

Since then, it has recruited more than 50,000 donors and has provided bone marrow for more than 250 patients for transplants.

For more information on marrow donation call 2710 1206 or 2819 0766 or visit the Blood Transfusion Service website.
