Eric Li, Frank Fu to head sports task force
*

The Home Affairs Bureau has appointed Dr Eric Li and Professor Frank Fu to head a task force on the Sports Institute's long-term development.

At its first meeting today, the task force discussed work plans and a timetable for the coming months, and agreed to consult the stakeholders on the draft redevelopment plan.

The task force will review the institute's facilities and the need for new ones elsewhere. It will submit recommendations to the Sports Commission and the Government in six months, indicating the timetable and resources required.

The task force is composed of members from the Elite Sports Committee and the institute. Full membership is Eric Li and Professor Frank Fu (chairmen), Chan Chi-choi, Professor Chan Kai-ming, Vivien Fung, Fay Ho, Ken Lee, Lee Lai-shan, Martin Liao, and Tony Yue.
