*
HPC logo (Eng version)

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed a case of Legionnaires' disease involving a 54-year-old man living in Tsuen Wan, bringing the year's total number of cases to two.

The patient developed symptoms including a fever, dry cough, sore throat, shortness of breath and muscle pain on May 15 after traveling to the Mainland on May 12 and 13.

He was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital on May 19 and is now in stable condition.

The centre contacted others who had travelled with the patient as well as his family members, but none had symptoms of the disease.
