Wild mushrooms poison 2
*
Centre for Health Protection

A man and woman from the same family are ill with food poisoning after eating wild mushrooms from a Yuen Long field.

Both 58, they developed abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and dizziness two hours after eating the mushrooms on May 14. Both recovered after hospital treatment.

Samples of the mushrooms have been collected for laboratory testing.

The Centre for Health Protection advised people not to eat wild mushrooms, as poisonings are generally acute and there is only supportive treatment.
