Housing Department

In its first integrated Environmental, Health & Safety Report, the Housing Authority says it is committed to adopting planning, design, construction and maintenance methods to address environmental, health and safety issues in its projects to achieve sustainable housing.

It has completed studies to improve drainage designs in housing blocks, and undertook intensive inspections and a marking scheme to improve environmental hygiene in its estates.

The report highlights 57 environmental, health and safety initiatives from April 2003 to March 2004. It can be viewed on the authority's website.
