'Clean ambassadors' deployed to public pools

*
Swimming pool ambassadors

Clean team: A swimming pool ambassador ensures swimmers walk through the shower and footbaths to rinse their bodies before entering the pool deck area.

About 100 ambassadors will be deployed to swimming pools on weekends and public holidays to ask swimmers to keep pools clean and maintain personal hygiene.

Swimmers will be urged to wash their bodies thoroughly in the changing room and walk through the shower bath and footbath before entering the pool deck area. Ambassors will also explain the rules of using public pools.

Thirty-four public pools reopened today for the new swim season and sufficient lifeguards have been deployed. Two pools are temporarily closed for maintenance.
