HPC logo (Eng version)

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an imported case of Dengue fever, bringing the year's total to two.

The patient is a 72-year-old Kwun Tong man who developed fever, eye and muscle pain on February 28. He was admitted to United Christian Hospital on March 2 and discharged on March 10. He travelled to Indonesia from February 3 to 24.

The centre urged people to guard against the disease and prevent mosquito breeding.

The latest information on Dengue fever in other places can be found under Outbreak News on the Travellers' Health Service website.
