Funding scheme invites applications

*
Equal opportunities funding scheme
All equal: The Equal Opportunities Funding Scheme is taking applications until April 15.
*

Non-profit making projects aiming to promote equal opportunities in race or sexual orientation can apply for the Equal Opportunities Funding Scheme, now open for applications until April 15.

Launched in 1998, the scheme is run on an annual basis. More than $10.2 million has been allocated to non-governmental organisations in the past seven years to fund community-level activities which directly and effectively ensure wide participation and spread the message.

Registered organisations or their sub-groups can apply. Projects must be completed before February.

Application forms can be downloaded from the Home Affairs Bureau website. Copies are also available at the Home Affairs Department public enquiry service centres.

For enquiries, call the bureau's Race Relations Unit at 2835 1579.
