Twelve secondary school students are ill after eating at a Kowloon Tong restaurant today.

The five boys and seven girls, aged 12 to 14, developed nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea after eating chicken wings, sweet corn, carrots and steamed rice. Their symptoms were mild and none required hospitalisation.

Initial investigations suggested an outbreak of bacterial food poisoning. The Centre for Health protection will further investigate the source of the outbreak.
