Lantern attraction: The A Blaze of Blessings display is now on at Kowloon Park. The three Lunar New Year Lantern Carnivals will feature entertainment like Cantonese opera and magic shows.

Traditional architecture

A seven-metre Lantern of Fortune-bringing Dragons will feature at Ko Shan Road. Its design is based on the Octagon Pavilion in Chinese traditional architecture. The eight dragons at the corners represent fortune coming from all directions.

Running until March 13, the A Blaze of Blessings display will be held at Kowloon Park.

Beautiful lanterns with the Chinese motifs are being displayed outside Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station on Nathan Road.

The main lantern group in the park, features the traditional Communal Parade of the Lunar New Year.

Dragon dance

Featuring a dragon dance under the direction of a silk pearl ball and an umbrella-shaped parasol, the lanterns symbolise a wish to obtain blessings from a dragon, as well as a prosperous year with a good harvest.

Festive flowers are also displayed in the Chinese garden's lotus pond and ever-revolving pinwheels fill the piazza with a spirit of vitality for the Lunar New Year.
