Dengue fever case confirmed

Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an imported Dengue fever case involving a 32-year-old woman, bringing last year's total cases to 30, all imported.

The woman travelled to Malaysia and Australia before the onset of fever and rash on December 24. She was discharged from hospital on December 30.

People should stay alert to the threat of Dengue fever and take measures against mosquito breeding. For more tips on disease prevention, click here.

People who feel unwell after returning from their trip should consult a doctor as soon as possible and provide travel details.

The latest information on Dengue fever in other places can be found on the Travellers' Health Service website.
