York Chow to discuss food safety in Beijing
*

Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food Dr York Chow will start a two-day visit to Beijing December 9 to enhance co-operation with the Mainland on food safety.

 

Dr Chow will meet officials of the Ministry of Agriculture to discuss co-operation and liaison, and later the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection & Quarantine. He will also call on the Ministries of Commerce and Civil Affairs.

 

Dr Chow will be accompanied by Permanent Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food Carrie Yau, Director of Food & Environmental Hygiene Gregory Leung, Director of Health Dr Lam Ping-yan, Deputy Director of Social Welfare Agnes Allcock and Deputy Director of Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Lau Sin-pang.
