The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed a case of enterovirus-71 infection, bringing the year's total to 35.

A two-year-old girl developed oral ulcers and a rash on November 25. She is in stable condition and no hospitalisation was required. Her family has no symptoms.

As at December 3, three boys, aged two to three, studying in the same child care centre with the patient, developed hand-foot-mouth symptoms. Two have recovered while the other is in stable condition and improving.
