The Information Services Department invites people to join an essay and photo competition to share their views on what makes Hong Kong Asia's world city.
In conjunction with the South China Morning Post, the department will accept entries for the Brand Hong Kong Essay/Photo Competition 'World City-My City' from November 1 to 30.
Assistant Director of Information Services Paul Brown said the competition will involve a wide cross section of the community who will all offer different views and ideas about what makes Hong Kong such a great place to live and work.
"That diversity of views is one of the things that makes Hong Kong such an interesting and exciting city. We are trying to tap into the human element of our city - the heart and soul of Asia's world city," he said.
The competition is part of ongoing efforts to create awareness about the Brand Hong Kong programme and the core values underpinning Hong Kong's position as Asia's world city - progressive, free, stable, opportunity and high quality.
Competition age groups are Junior (10-14 years), Youth (15-18 years), and Open (19 and above). Cash prizes will be awarded to winners and runners-up in each category.
Entry details are available at www.brandhk.gov.hk, or www.scmp.com.
