The Centre for Health Protection will launch its online publication on non-communicable diseases on September 30.

NCD Aware will be published regularly and can be freely accessed on its website.

In its first issue, it presents the most recent mortality data on the leading non-communicable diseases, illustrating their public health significance in our community.

A feature article, Weight Control Myths, will examine misleading weight-loss advertising and advise people to beware of exaggerated results or unrealistic claims.

Other regular features will include news on prevention and control of non-communicable diseases considered significant to Hong Kong, and health promotion activities.
