The City Hall Public Library has introduced a number of enhanced services and improved facilities with its recent renovation work.
The Adult Lending Library on the 3/F and 4/F has been extended to the 5/F to house English fiction, English large print, oversized books and music scores. More books and compact discs are also provided.
The Creativity & Innovation Resources Centre was set up at the Reference Library on the10/F after completion of the first phase of renovation last year.
More computers available for public use
The Computer & Information Centre has been relocated from the 9/F to the 6/F, increasing the number of computer workstations from 10 to 41. Readers can now easily access the Internet and online database, CD-ROM workstations, Multimedia Information System workstations and Online Public Access Catalogue terminals. The City Hall Public Library has a library stock of more than 390,000 items. Value-added services including book exhibitions, literary talks, reading programmes and competitions are held regularly to promote reading.
