The Sir David Trench Fund for Recreation is inviting grant applications from those who are interested in providing facilities for recreational, sporting, cultural and social activities, particularly those aimed at young people.

Three categories of grants are available:

* capital works projects, to construct new recreational facilities;

* non-capital works projects, including the purchase of sports and recreational equipment; and

* a special project which allows the purchase of equipment meeting the theme of each year. Details of this year's special project will be announced separately.

Completed application forms should be sent to the Secretariat of the Sir David Trench Fund Committee, 41st floor, Revenue Tower, 5 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai.

The deadline for applications for the capital works projects is May 31. Applications for non-capital works projects will be processed in two batches, with closing dates of May 31 and November 30.

Each applicant can submit one application under each of the three projects within the same year.
