Experts to visit Guangzhou on SARS prevention

Department of Health

Director of Health Dr Lam Ping-yan will lead a delegation of medical professionals to meet with the Guangdong Province Health Department in Guangzhou tomorrow.

 

Made up of Department of Health and Hospital Authority officers, the group will discuss the prevention of SARS with their Guangdong counterparts. The two sides will provide updates on the SARS situation and review control measures.

 

Delegation members include Deputy Director of Health Dr PY Leung and Disease Prevention & Control Division Consultant Dr Thomas Tsang, the authority's Senior Executive Manager Dr Liu Shao-haei and Central Committee Co-Chairman on Infectious Diseases Dr Dominic Tsang, and Pamela Youde Eastern Hospital's Chief-of-service Dr Loretta Yam.

 

The delegation will return to Hong Kong Thursday.
