The Home Affairs Department has opened 12 temporary shelters for people in need of shelter from the cold. Temperatures are expected to drop to 12 degrees Celsius tonight, or lower in the New Territories. It will be even colder over the weekend.

Anyone seeking temporary refuge may call the Department's Emergency Co-ordination Centre on 2835 1473 for more information.

The temporary cold shelters are located at:
