Electric hot pots recalled
*
hot pot

Consumers are advised to stop using a model of electric Shabu Shabu hot pots - CRTX-1000 - which have been offered as free gifts by PCCW between December 2002 and January 2003.

Acting on a complaint, the Electrical & Mechanical Services Department found the flexible cord connector of the hot pot did not have adequate electric insulation. It might break upon impact, posing an electric shock hazard to users.

Consumers should return the hot pots to PCCW's designated collection centre as soon as possible. The company will offer other free gifts in exchange.

For more information, contact PCCW's customer service hotline 3128 8762.
