Campaign to boost air travellers' confidence
*

The Airport Authority will launch a campaign to boost public confidence in air travel by encouraging staff working at Chek Lap Kok to take their temperatures before reporting for duty.

Operation Skyfit, to be launched tomorrow, will further strengthen the authority's efforts in fighting the severe acute respiratory syndrome.

Apart from cleaning facilities at the airport, the authority has increased the frequency of replacing air-conditioning filters to maximise the inflow of fresh air since the SARS-outbreak.

It has also worked closely with the Department of Health and carried out measures whenever necessary to control the spread of the disease.
