Do you have books collecting dust on your shelves at home? The Leisure & Cultural Services Department reminds you to consider donating them to the Book Donation & Sale Campaign.

The event aims to promote reading and raise money for the Community Chest.

Hong Kong libraries, except mobile libraries, are accepting donated books of all kinds, except magazines and primary and secondary school textbooks. The deadline is February 14.

The sale of donated books will be on February 15 and 16, from 10am to 6pm, at the Hong Kong Central Library Exhibition Gallery and the Sha Tin Town Hall Exhibition Gallery. Each book will sell for $5. All money generated will be donated to the Community Chest.

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department is co-organising the campaign with the Home Affairs Department, 18 District Councils, Hongkong Post, the Agency for Volunteer Service and the Community Chest of Hong Kong.
